PHASE II – IDENTIFY the SCOPE of the PROJECTYour March Forth consultant’s exceptional ability to create a collaborative environment is critical to quickly winning the trust of key decision makers and drawing from them the information necessary to ensure a successful outcome. Once we have identified the unique characteristics of your new product or service, the marketplace in which it will live, and your company’s unique capabilities we will present our findings and recommend a customized approach for moving forward. In the case of one client that meant presenting our findings at a two-day meeting with their C-Level executives. We discussed and agreed upon such things as a corporate brand positioning and where certain products fit within that positioning. We created strategies for moving forward on new products and services already in the pipeline and developed guidelines for identifying and pursuing future potential products and services. Finally, we agreed upon a realistic starting point and identified which senior managers would assist in accomplishing the tactical steps. Only then were we ready to create a detailed project work plan.
